Last year, around late fall, my aunt presented me with an opportunity to help photograph the Virginia Beach Dog Convention under the guidance of her company – Odango Design Studio, Evelyn Odango Photography . I was thrilled, to say the least, to be surrounded by furry friends; although, I had never been to an event like this before. Well the turnout was incredible. Not only did the Convention showcase dogs, but other exotic animals roamed the perimeter in hopes of adoption as well. The photos speak for themselves, but the experience was so delightful that her studio was asked to return this year (which reminded me that I had not posted any of the pictures online, for some time now). Well the humble critters and creatures were welcomed into the convention center by pet vendors, animal fitness gurus, adoption services, and of course, pet photographer enthusiasts and pet artists, alike. The main stage showcased animal informational shows by the half hour, and an obstacle course was set up for meandering/playing; then the area was used for the final costume contest (not on my camera). At last, a few of my favorite photos that I was able to take can be seen here. I am ever grateful for this learning experience under my aunt’s guidance.
