Before the new year rolls around, it seems good to wrap up some thoughts on this year’s work.
Throughout the spring and summer, I had the pleasure and honor to help my cousin create her wedding save the dates, rsvp cards, info sheets, and wedding invites.
Working with her refreshed my tenacity and attention to detail that a designer always needs to have when creating visually & aesthetically appealing work that complements the client’s style.
This experience was good practice to hone in on my artistic skills, as I have been busy with engineering work this year. A touch of watercolor was added to the flowers after printing (not shown here). Nonetheless, this is what we came up with together, and it has been received well:
Secondly, I also had another opportunity to touch base with my photographic side and take pictures of the most adorable pups that Hampton Roads has to offer. Last year was my first time helping out. Running into friends at the convention center this year was a plus.
As the day wound down for the Virginia Beach Pet Expo 2015, I was again in complete gratitude to have had this experience under my aunt’s studio, Odango Design Studio; Evelyn Odango Photography. My aunt’s studio flourishes daily with photographic art and office products that she creates out of the love of animals; it’s always a good feeling to be a part of work that broadens our understanding of the world outside of humanity. I included some of my favorite photos here, along with the winner of the costume contest (olaf with only two legs and no arms):
Lastly, here is a bonus post that shows a time lapse of a quick sketch I made for a friend, Hope you enjoy: http://tinypic.com/r/2evulu8/9
